Terms of Use

Last updated: 1 December 2025

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Fried mobile application (“the app”) and the website at friedapp.com (“the site”). By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Fried.

1. What Fried is (and isn’t)

Fried is a small self-care and wellbeing app that provides short written “resets” about burnout, work stress and boundaries. It’s meant to give you a gentle nudge or reframe during a hectic day.

Fried is not a medical, psychological or crisis-support service. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition and is not a substitute for professional advice, therapy, counselling or medical care.

2. Eligibility

You may use Fried only if you are legally allowed to do so in your country or region and if you are able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the relevant age of majority, please use Fried only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.

3. Personal responsibility

We hope Fried helps you feel a little less crispy. However:

4. Your use of the app

You agree that you will:

5. Intellectual property

The Fried name, logo, branding, text, design and other creative content are protected by intellectual property laws. You are welcome to talk about Fried, link to us and share screenshots for personal or editorial use, but:

6. Third-party services

The app or site may contain links to third-party services (for example the App Store or external resources). We don’t control those services and are not responsible for their content, policies or behaviour. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and may be governed by that service’s terms.

7. Changes to the app

We may update or change the app from time to time, including adding, modifying or removing resets or features. We may also stop offering the app entirely. Where reasonably possible, we’ll aim to make such changes in a way that doesn’t break your day (your brain has enough going on already).

8. No warranties

The app and site are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no promises or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including about:

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app or site.

Our total liability for any claims relating to the app or site will be limited to the amount you paid (if any) for using Fried in the 12 months before the claim arose. In many cases, this will be zero.

10. Indemnity

You agree, to the extent permitted by law, to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the app or site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of a third party.

11. Termination

You can stop using Fried at any time by deleting the app from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app or site if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are misusing Fried.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If there is any dispute, you agree that the courts of New South Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, highlight important changes on the site or in the app.

If you continue to use Fried after the updated Terms take effect, you are deemed to have accepted them.

14. Contact
